Most of the facilities that have been created by people around the world have been created for use by normal human beings. Even among us there are people who have some kind of a disability. This article deals with disabled accommodation for the wheelchair vacationer.
There are people who don’t have all the physical features of ordinary human beings. Some people won’t have their legs or they may have the legs but they won’t be working properly.
Only in the recent past have these facilities made friendly to these people. In the past people who weren’t able to move were discarded in a place in the houses. But with time they started to have mobility thanks to the invention of the wheel chair. Then there are also people who don’t have very useful arms. These are the people who suffer the most.
Though a lot of inventions have been made on the field of transportation only a very little care has been given to the needs of the handicapped people who are traveling. There aren’t given the due importance.
These days there are a number of holiday homes and villas which have been designed to allow these disabled people to use them with ease. These villas would be just like the ordinary villas with bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, terrace, veranda and the other features of any ordinary villa but also help in accommodating disabled people.
In some countries there are cottages in very high number that allow disabled people to have a happy outing. These cottages have all the necessary luxuries of any other cottage. These resorts would have bathrooms with showers and these would be able to accommodate a person on a wheel chair. Special grips and rough surfaces would be provided in the bathroom to help the disabled person to use it in a safer manner.
The transportation provided by these cottages is also great. They use vehicles that are fit for use by the disabled people. They have separate entrance for disabled people. It is of much lower height than the other.
